Osteria All'Arco

Osteria All'Arco is a small, standing-room-only bacaro on a side alley near Campo San Polo, named for the brick arch across from its door, close to the Rialto Market where it sources much of its seafood each morning. Run by Francesco and his son Matteo, it opens for lunch only and has no seating, just a counter where regulars and market porters eat. Cicchetti change with what the market offers -- bruschette topped with baccalà mantecato, sarde in saor or raw scampi -- eaten standing with a glass of wine.
